GOVERNOR LEE ANNOUNCES STEM-FOCUSED CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS AT STATE OF THE STATE

NASHVILLE, TN, March 5, 2019- Last night at his inaugural State of the State address, Governor Bill Lee announced his STEM-focused career and technical education program initiative in over 100 middle schools and will allocate $4 million for it. This effort will triple the State’s number of STEM-designated public schools. Our President & Founder, Kristen Johns, gave the following statement:

“TokenizeTennessee lauds the Governor's new Future Workforce Initiative. This, in conjunction with the State's adoption of the new biotech curriculum standards, will ensure our students have a competitive advantage in the workforce. We fully support Governor Lee's goal of making Tennessee one of the top 25 states for job creation in the technology sector by 2022 and look forward to contributing to advancing these efforts.”
