First quarter was an exciting one for TokenizeTN. We became an official 501(c)(6) trade organization in January, finalized our mission and vision (see below), and began accepting members. We have had overwhelming support from the community. Thank you for being an integral part of that momentum.
Further, we established six key objectives to help fulfill the Vision and Mission: (1) be the Voice of Authority, (2) advocate, (3) educate, (4) support legislative efforts, (5) grow membership, and (6) leverage technology to explore innovative and inclusive business models. We will pursue various paths to achieving these objectives in 2019.
I am thrilled to announce that TokenizeTN will be a part of LaunchTN’s 36|86 entrepreneurship festival this August. This is an exciting way to showcase and grow our emerging technology ecosystem in Tennessee and in the southeast. For more information please visit https://launchtn.org/3686fest/. I hope you will be able to join us.
TokenizeTN sponsored the Women4Blockchain hackathon at Lipscomb University in February. During that hackathon we recorded our first podcast, which you can access here: https://speakingofcrypto.com/055-fintech-tn.
All of our events will be featured on our new calendar https://www.tokenizetn.com/calendar. It’s a great resource to see what is going on with our organization, in the community, or as a way to publicize your own event.
Finally, we want to hear from you. What would you like to see TokenizeTN do this year and how can we help you or your organization be successful? Let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
